Pikeview Girls Battling Injury Bug

BLUEFIELD, W.Va (WVVA) -- After a run in the state tournament the year before, the Pikeview girls basketball team thought 2013-2014 basketball season would bring an even deeper tournament run. Now, the Panthers are working hard to put their best team on the floor.

Pikeview has lost several players to serious injuries with several key players out for several weeks. That includes senior Alexis May, who is currently dealing with a serious ankle injury.

Nevertheless, the Panthers who are healthy are also staying positive and working hard in practice. They say, despite the injuries, their expectations at making a run at states hasn't changed.
