Sho-Johnson Wins Player Of The Year Award

Posted:

BLUEFIELD, W.Va (WVVA) -- There is a lot of football pedigree attached to the Pocahontas Coal Association/Bluefield Daily Telegraph's Player of the Year Award. Among the many winners include Super Bowl winning running back Ahmad Bradshaw. Now, Princeton's Taj Sho-Johnson can add his name to exclusive list.

Sho-Johnson won the award Tuesday night and was recognized during the yearly banquet. Johnson played tailback for the Tigers, who finished the season 6-4 and narrowly missed the AAA playoffs.

Johnson was the leading offensive threat for the Tigers. He was also a dynamic presence on defense and he was the Tigers' kicker.

Bluefield's RJ Bourn and Giles' Brett Whitlow were the runners up.
