UPDATE: More details released in Raleigh Co. home invasion

UPDATE: RALEIGH (WVVA) - Police have released the following information on Tuesday morning's home invasion robbery:

At approximately 1:00am on 12-3-13 officers with the Beckley Police Department responded to a robbery complaint at a private resident on E St. The suspect, 42 year old Eric Day of Beckley, forced his way into the residence, brandishing a knife and demanded money from the victim. Day was not given anything by the victim but did take a bag containing the victim's wallet, checkbook, and other similar items. He then ran from the residence. Officers located Day a short time after the original incident at a residence on Rhodes St., which is a few streets away from the victimized residence. Day was in possession of some of  the stolen property and officers were able to get the other property. Everything was returned to the owner and nobody was hurt. Day was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, burglary, and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.

UPDATE: RALEIGH (WVVA) - Forty two year old Eric Day is now in police custody after allegedly robbing a home early this morning. 

Dispatchers received a call around one a.m. from the residents living at 607 E Street in Beckley saying a man broke into their home, taking money and a bag full of keys.

The male subject was armed with a knife. After arriving on scene, police started their search and quickly arrested Day. 

According to Beckley Police he is charged with burglary, first degree robbery, and possession of crack cocaine.

RALEIGH (WVVA) - Beckley police are searching for a male subject who broke into a home early Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers received a call around one a.m. from the residents living at 607 E Street in Beckley saying a male broke into their home, taking money and a bag full of keys.

The male subject was armed with a knife.

As of 1:15, police are on scene and searching for this man.
