Local workers take aim at supermarket giant

(WVVA) -- Local construction workers say their displeased with Kroger.

A spokesperson for the Affiliated Construction Trades Foundation fears Kroger is costing locals jobs because they are hiring so-called outside workers for construction jobs.

Kroger is spending $200 million annually over the next five years to renovate and add on to stores in many states across the country.  The supermarket chain has 41 stores in West Virginia alone.

Kroger has not responded to media requests for comment.
