Bluefield Loses To Bridgeport On The Road

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WVVA) -- The Bluefield Beavers ended their 2013 season with a 42-21 road loss to Bridgeport in the Class AA semi-final. Bluefield got off to a horrendous start and couldn't pull themselves out of the hole. The Beavers had negative yardage offensively in the opening half.

With the win, Bridgeport moves to the Class AA state title game where they will play #1 Wayne. The Pioneers defeated Robert C. Byrd at Huntington High School, Friday night.

Bluefield finishes the 2013 season 10-3. Two of the three loses were against Wayne and Bridgeport.
