BLUEFIELD (WVVA)-- Volunteers at the Bluefield Union Mission are preparing for their annual Thanksgiving Feast.

This is the 82nd consecutive Thanksgiving dinner the Union Mission has had for the community.

They will give out food bags as well as nearly 700 hot meals to an estimated 300 families Thursday.

"We're ready," said Craig Hammond, the Union Mission's director. "Lots of pounds of turkeys, I've lost count. And it's going to be a great day. Rain, sleet, snow, shine, we're going to be here and delivering."

The mission has also been in need of extra bread donations, so they are holding a "Grateful Bread" walk starting at 8:30 AM Thursday.

Each walker will bring bread or rolls to donate to the dinner.
