BECKLEY (WVVA) - State Police have arrested more than two dozen individuals in less than a month on meth-related charges.

First Sgt. Michael Baylous and Trooper First Class L.W. Price will discussed the arrests in the during a news conference at the Beckley detachment of the State Police Friday morning.

Baylous said state troopers from Troops 3 and 6 put in extra effort -- aside from their normal daily duties -- to concentrate on meth lab activity.

Troop 6 covers Greenbrier, Raleigh, Fayette and Summers counties. Troop 3 includes Webster, Pendleton, Randolph and Braxton counties.

A total of 18 individuals were arrested on 47 felony charges since Oct. 26 by Troop 6. Baylous said troopers busted nine meth labs and 3 abandoned dump sites during that period.
