BECKLEY (WVVA) -- The Pinecrest Development Corporation hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for the Beckley Bypass Extension.

The ceremony celebrated the road and infrastructure extension in Pinecrest Business and Technology Park, located within the city of Beckley and Raleigh County. It is part of the 4-C Economic Development Authority, a regional initiative that combines the assets of four counties to promote economic growth. 

Beckley's Economy has been stimulated by easy access provided by the Road Transportation System. As a result, Raleigh County is a regional hub for shopping and services in southern West Virginia.
