WVU signs 5 women's basketball recruits

   MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia women's basketball coach Mike Carey has signed five recruits for next season.
   Carey said Friday he's signed forward Abigail Asoro, centers Kristina King and Kayla Montgomery and guards Dominique Simpson and Tyara Warren.
   The 6-foot Asoro averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds per game last season at Iowa Western Community College.
   The 6-3 King averaged nearly nine points and six rebounds last season at New Hope Christian Academy in Thomasville, N.C.
   The 6-4 Montgomery is averaging 10 points and nine rebounds through five games this season at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla.
   Simpson averaged 14 points and nearly 11 rebounds last season at Jones High in Orlando, Fla., and Warren averaged nearly 13 points and four steals for Plano West High in Texas.
