Staying safe behind the wheel during winter: a special report

Posted:

(WVVA)- We've already had our first widespread snowfall event here in the Two Virginias, and fortunately for most of us it was just a dusting.

However, it's time to start talking about how to safely operate your vehicle in snow and sub-freezing temperatures because despite yesterday's limited snowfall, there were still accidents caused by black ice, among other factors.

Officials at AAA agree that it's time to start getting your vehicles ready for the winter.

Be sure to watch WVVA News both Thursday and Friday as the Precision Weather Team covers more important winter preparedness topics.
