UPDATE: Wednesday's fire at the Emmanuel Community Church near White Sulphur Springs does not appear to be suspicious, authorities say.

The fire was contained to two rooms in a building adjacent to the main church. The church itself suffered minimal smoke damage.

The church sits along Route 60 between Caldwell Hill and Harts Run. The highway was briefly closed Wednesday as crews worked to extinguish the blaze.

HARTS RUN (WVVA) - A portion of Route 60 between Caldwell Hill and Harts Run in Greenbrier County was temporarily closed Wednesday morning due to a structure fire.

The fire was reported at an old church in Harts Run around 9:20 a.m.

A volunteer firefighter tells WVVA News that crews from Lewisburg, Fairlea and White Sulphur Springs responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
