2 W.Va. health centers get grants to expand access

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Two health centers in West Virginia have been awarded federal grants to expand access to care.
The Department of Health and Human Services awarded $704,167 to Community Care of West Virginia in Rock Cave and $812,500 to Williamson Health and Wellness Center in Williamson.
Health and Human Resources Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Thursday in a news release that the funding will help the centers establish new sites that will serve about 5,152 additional people.
Nationwide, about $150 million in grants are being awarded to 236 health center programs.
The funding is made available by the Affordable Care Act.
