6 face charges stemming from Stonewood PD burglary
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- Six people face federal charges stemming from the theft of firearms during a burglary at the Stonewood Police Department. U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld said Thursday that a federal grand jury issued the charges in a 32-count indictment this week. All six defendants are Clarksburg residents. The indictment charges 25-year-old Jonathan Carpenter, 29-year-old Michelle McKinney, 27-year-old Dominic Sutherlin, 43-year-old John Lynch, 26-year-old Denaul Dickerson and 33-year-old Kristopher Cox with conspiracy to violate federal firearms laws. The defendants are accused of possessing, concealing, storing, selling and disposing of the stolen firearms as part of the conspiracy.
