A new policy requires random drug tests for some students

 MINGO (WVVA) – A new policy requires random drug tests for some students in Mingo County.

Student athletes, students who participate in extracurricular activities and students who drive to school are requires the drug test.

Parents can also volunteer their children for the test selection process.

The policy only applies to high school students this year.

Other school systems such as Cabell, Putnam and Logan counties are also drug testing students.
