CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has ordered all U.S. and West Virginia flags to be displayed at half-staff at government facilities Sunday.

The lowering of the flags is part of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

Eighty-one fallen firefighters will be honored at the service being held in Maryland. The service marks the beginning of National Fire Prevention Week, which runs through Oct. 12.
