SMITHERS (WVVA) - A Fayette County man has been arrested after police seize drugs from an area business.

David Alfonzo Bohanna, 57, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver after police found several opana pills, six bags of marijuana, a set of digital scales and more than $1,500 in cash at the B&G Sports Bar and Grill in Smithers, where Bohanna is part owner.

Police executed a search warrant at the business Thursday evening after an informant made a controlled purchase of drugs there earlier in the day, according to a release from Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.

Additional charges against Bohanna are expected to be filed. Bohanna is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $10,000 bond.

The incident remains under investigation by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force.
