Volunteers help build new bed for shelter dogs

RALEIGH COUNTY (WVVA) - Volunteers in Raleigh County took some time this weekend to help build some new beds for shelter dogs.

RESA 1 along with the Raleigh County Humane Society built more than 50 beds this Saturday.

The beds were made out of plastic water pipes and fabric that was all donated by pet lovers.

Shelter officials said the beds will give a level of comfort to the dogs and promote their well-being.

"there's going to be will rested if they are injured or old and have some type disease or uncomfortable there going to be more comfortable having a bed laying on," said Selina Vickers of RESA 1.

The Raleigh County Animal Shelter can always use more pet supplies and volunteers. If you'd like to help out, just contact the shelter.
