WWII Squadron reunites at Pipestem

Members of a World War Two Squadron are holding a reunion this week at Pipestem State Park.

In 1944 ten were thrust together to fight the Germans in anti-submarine warfare in England...

Today there are only four still living.

They range in age from 89 to 95.

The group trained together in this country before heading overseas.

John Dumont of Peterstown in Monroe County is one of the four survivors.

"We feel like it is sad that there are only four survivors out of ten. It seems like we wonder if we are going to survive again and meet at reunion," says Dumont.

Mr. Dumont says he vividly remembers his World War Two experience, but he worries the world may not have learn the lessons of history and head back to war again.
