Students across W.Va. try to jam their way to a world record
BECKLEY (WVVA) -- West Virginia is on its way to breaking a world record, again. Kids all across the state are taking a minute out of their day to "JAM."
WVVA went to Crescent Elementary in Beckley this morning. All of the schools in Raleigh County jammed at 10a.m. Thursday morning to help the state clinch the top spot again nationally this year.
The kids say they had a great time, and teachers got in on the fun too.
"It's just an activity to remind everybody to be active," says Jane Sutphin, Crescent's physical education teacher. "One minute is better than no minutes. We hope that the kids are active for 60 minutes a day, and the program is all about that."
