WVVA – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that three out of four parents do not properly use cars seats.

Jennifer Tobia, is certified in car seat safety and says, "Attending a car seat safety course is vital."

 Understanding what seat is best depends on multiple factors such as the child's age, size and type of vehicle.

All car seats also have an expiration date on them.

The law in West Virginia states children should be in car seats until they are eight years old or four foot nine in height while the law in Virginia only requires children to be in car seats until they are eight years old.
