Wounded warrior walker passes through his W.Va. hometown

DANIELS (WVVA) -- Two marine best friends are on a mission, walking across the country for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Their walk began in California, and for one of them, Wednesday's stop in Raleigh County is very special.  Chris Senopole is from Daniels, West Virginia.

He and his buddy Adam Shatarsky were greeted with an especially warm welcome during their jaunt up Route 19 at Shady Spring Elementary.

"I was really happy I had the sunglasses on," says Shatarsky.  "It was amazing.  They're so full of life, and they're just all smiles, and that's the reason you do it."

"Hopefully one of them will see it wasn't Captain America," says Senopole.  "It was just two normal guys who got off their couch and decided to do something to make a difference."

The two made their final stop for the day in Beckley.
