BECKLEY (WVVA) - Two men charged with attempted murder in unrelated crimes are among those indicted by the latest sitting of the Raleigh County Grand Jury.

A total of 80 indictments were handed down.

Dylan Morgan, 21, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and escape after police say he cut off his home confinement bracelet then attempted to run over a police officer who had attempted to pull him over.

Michael Dale Wafford, 38, of Beckley is charged with attempted first-degree murder, malicious wounding, domestic assault and destruction of property in connection with an incident this summer at the Beckley Plaza Mall.

According to a previous WVVA.com report, Wafford was involved in a domestic incident with a female at the mall when he was escorted out by a bystander, James Tate.

Once outside the business, Wafford allegedly stabbed Tate several times.

In other cases, Alfred Leslie Pittman, 24, of Beckley is charged with first-degree robbery, burglary, malicious wounding, kidnapping, conspiracy and being a felon in possession of a firearm. In March, Pittman was arrested after allegedly beating a woman during a home invasion at Hager Apartments in Beckley.

Mark Anthony Lyons, 44, is charged with operating a clandestine drug lab, being a felon in possession of a firearm and gross child neglect with risk of serious bodily injury or death.

Lyons was arrested in March after police found the makings of a meth lab inside his home on Fayette Street in Beckley. A 6-month-old child was also found in the home.
