Tazewell Co. police on lookout for alleged counterfeiter


TAZEWELL, W. Va (WVVA)-- Police in Tazewell County are on the lookout for the source of alleged counterfeit money being passed around the West end of the county.

Major Harold Heatley with the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office says three $20 bills, $60 in all, have been recovered from two businesses in the Raven and Richlands areas-- a convenience store and a gas station.

The names of these businesses are not being released.

Heatley says police are looking for the source of these counterfeit bills. So far they have no one in custody over the alleged counterfeiting.
