GRUNDY (WVVA) - A total of 24 individuals have been arrested and charged as the result of a drug sweep in Buchanan County.

Twenty-three of the 24 arrested face various drug charges. One individual was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The drug indictments were executed on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Police say numerous amounts of narcotics were seized.

All were transported to Southwest Va. Regional Jail. According to the news release from Sheriff Ray Foster more arrests are expected to follow.
