BECKLEY (WVVA) - The murder case against a Raleigh County man accused of killing a woman and leaving her body under a vehicle will be bound to the next grand jury.

Aaron Portis appeared before Magistrate Greg Tanner in Raleigh County Tuesday morning. Portis has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Deborah Dalton.

Dalton's body was found under a car at a residence in the Harper Heights area on Aug. 19.

Testimony at Tuesday's hearing from Trooper Martin with the West Virginia State Police revealed that Dalton had been shot twice in the head with a small-caliber gun.

Portis was arrested without incident and charged with murder on Aug. 31.
