MOSSY (WVVA) -- Three people are confirmed dead after a motor vehicle accident on Route 612 near Mossy.

According to Fayette County 911 the single-vehicle accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

When rescue crews arrived on scene they found a Chevy pickup truck overturned in the center of the roadway and an individual was pinned underneath the vehicle. Two other individuals had been ejected from the vehicle and were lying on the roadway.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims of the crash have been identified as 54-year-old Robert Dean Manning, Edward Miller and Donna Moran -- all of Scarbro.

"Alcohol and excessive speed are believed to have been contributing factors to this accident," said Sheriff Steve Kessler.

The accident remains under investigation by Deputy S.K. Neal of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
