PREVIEW: Shady Spring looks to move up ranks of AAA

SHADY SPRING (WVVA) - The Shady Spring Tigers barely missed postseason last year – their first in Class AAA. Now, with new faces in key spots the Tigers are hoping for continued success.

"We're doing a lot of learning," said head coach Vince Culicerto. "We've done some new things. Putting in new things this year with a whole new set of guys."

Standout players from last season like Adam Weeks and Houstin Syvertson have graduated and moved on, leaving spots open for younger guys to step into.

"We have many people coming back," said returning senior Robby Perry. "We lost a lot of people but we have people coming back. It may be a new offense or a new defense but we're settling out and just drilling, drilling until we get it to where we need to be."

Shady will open the season against Princeton, a team they haven't played in regular season in a long time.
