Family to benefit from Tazewell Co. Habitat for Humanity house

POCAHONTAS, V.a. (WVVA)-- A local family teamed up with volunteers to build a house in Pocahontas with the Tazewell County Habitat for Humanity.

Construction was in full swing Tuesday.

Robby Swim, who bought the home for his family of 8, said the house would help them immeasurably.

"Some things, you can't explain," he said.

This house will be bigger, and give his kids their own rooms. They told WVVA they are very excited to have their own space.

"I think it's going to give them a good environment to grow up in," said John White, the building supervisor.

White hopes that, with more volunteers, they can complete the house by the end of September. If you're interested in volunteering, call John at 304-887-4102.
