Community comes together to support drowning victim

FAYETTE COUNTY (WVVA) -- On July 20, WVVA brought viewers the story of a tragic drowning on Lake Sherwood in Greenbrier County.  Saturday night, friends and family held a benefit in Luke Hess' memory.

Hess was last scene on a boat on that July day.

The fundraiser was held at Moose Lodge and raised $1500 for the family.
