Panera Bread calls Beckley's brand new shopping plaza home

BECKLEY (WVVA) -- A new restaurant chain is just days from opening in Raleigh County, and businesses around it are excited too.

Panera Bread is opening its tenth West Virginia operation off Eisenhower Drive in the new Eisenhower Commons center off Route 19 in Beckley.

One of their neighbors, the Nail Boutique, opened last month.  Still to come are Sun Tan City and the Nail Boutique.

Panera has also brought almost 80 new jobs, hoping to be impactful to the area.

"With them building the new plaza in this area, and then Eisenhower Drive being such a populated road, we feel that we'll do very well with the drive-thru here.  Easy access to the main entrance, and then with the shopping around us too," says Robert Hall, Regional Director of Operations for Panera Bread.

Panera Bread will be opening Tuesday morning.
