Two injured after single-vehicle accident in Fayette County

GLEN JEAN (WVVA) Two men have been hospitalized following a vehicle accident on U.S. Route 19 in Fayette County.

Just before 5:00 a.m. Saturday, Fayette County 911 received notification of a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 19 near Glen Jean. Upon arrival at the scene Deputies found that a Chevy pickup truck traveling South had lost control and rolled over several times finally coming to a rest in the median.

The driver is identified as 24-year-old Justin Blankenship. The passenger was 25-year-old Joshua Dancy.

Both individuals were transported to Charleston Area Medical Center. Blankenship is listed in stable condition while Dancy is listed as being in critical condition.

No criminal charges have been filed in connection with the accident, but preliminary investigation indicates alcohol was a factor.
