Jays drop series finale to Bristol

Posted:

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - It was the final meeting of the series between the Jays and the Bristol White Sox and Bluefield was looking to make the sweep.

Jays waste no time getting things started as a Dawel Lugo homerun scores Tim Locastro to take the early lead in the first.

White Sox would pick up steam later though. Zach Stoner's hit to center field scores one to make the score 2-1, top of the second.

White Sox get on the board to tie the game in the top of the third as a Trey Michalczewski groundball sends home another run to tie things back up.

A John Silviano home run would turn up the heat. He blasts one to center field to put Bluefield ahead once again.

But the Blue Jays couldn't seem to keep things rolling as five runs in the top of the ninth secured the win for the Sox as they went on to beat the Blue Jays by one with a score of 7-6.
