WVVA takes you inside the opening ceremony at the National Boy Scout Jamboree

GLEN JEAN (WVVA) --Even though the opening ceremony is a tradition at the National Jamboree, this one is special because it's the first one at the Summit Bechtel in West Virginia.

It was full of important figures like West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin.  Other West Virginia natives, Taylor Made, performed the national anthem, and there were moving moments like the Boy Scout pledge.

"Oh my, it's incredible," says John Rehm, an Eagle Scout from Pennsylvania.  "Like right now, I am standing the third largest city in West Virginia, and for coming from a town of 600 people, that's incredible.  It is... wow."

Stay with WVVA for your Boy Scout coverage.  As the Scouts would say, we'll be prepared to cover all that's going on at the Jamboree.
