Ex-Va Tech frat house will be home for innovators

BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Tech is looking for young entrepreneurs to live in the new $5.1 million house that was left empty when a fraternity was kicked off campus in May for bad behavior.

The Blacksburg school is accepting applications as it looks for 35 male and female freshmen from any major for the living-learning community. Applicants need only have an "entrepreneurial spirit."

The Roanoke Times reports that the university has 16 similar programs. But this will be the only one stationed in a former fraternity house.

Sigma Phi Epsilon's chapter at Virginia Tech was disbanded for "ongoing history of alcohol and hazing violations." It had recently moved into the house.

The house features a full kitchen, dining area, board room and multiple living rooms with leather furniture and big-screen TVs.
