PRINCETON, W. Va (WVVA)-- Bond was denied Monday for the woman indicted on child pornography charges in Mercer County.

Kimberly Cox, 36, of Nemours asked the court to reinstate bond when she appeared for a hearing on Monday.

A Mercer County court clerk said the state opposed the request, and the court denied bond reinstatement and agreed a visitation order was violated.

Cox faces ten felony charges for allegedly taking sexually explicit photos of a 14 year old girl on a cell phone.

Police said she admitted taking the photos and that they were used for sexual gratification. The girl was in cox's care at the time.

A trial has been scheduled for September 10, 2013.

Cox remains in jail.
