FAYETTE COUNTY (WVVA) -- A 46-year-old woman from Columbus, Indiana was air lifted to Charleston Area Medical Center after wrecking her bike in Fayette County.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. on the Clovis Branch of the Arrowhead Trail System in Fayette County.

She sustained injuries to her upper back and neck when she collided with a small tree.

She was stabilized by NPS Rangers, Jan Care, and Fayetteville Fire Department.

Rangers led the evacuation utilizing a wheel litter and carried her out about one mile to a waiting General Ambulance for transport. 

She was transferred to a Health Net helicopter and taken to Charleston Area Medical Center at 1:56 PM.
