QUINWOOD, W. Va (WVVA)-- Police in Greenbrier County busted a meth lab just before midnight on Saturday and arrested a couple.
It happened at a home on Belltown Road in Quinwood.
Sergeant Martin and Deputy Solitro with the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department were following up on an anonymous tip when they came to the home, where a lab either had been cooking or had just finished cooking as they arrived.
The lab was outside just 8 feet away from the home.
Chief Deputy Sloane said 27-year-old Derrick Couch and his wife, 26-year-old Holly Couch, were arrested at the scene.
Their 4 children were also present and Child Protective Services took them into custody. The kids were 7, 4, 2, and 1 month old.
Holly and Derrick Couch were each charged with operating a clandestine meth lab and exposing a child to methamphetamine.
They were taken to Southern Regional Jail.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the West Virginia State Police in the investigation.
