WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) -- The mother of a missing West Virginia girl is in the Northern Regional Jail after violating the terms of her supervised release.

Deputy U.S. marshals arrested Lena Lunsford on Wednesday at a business college in Wheeling. She later appeared in federal court.

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Alex Neville says Lunsford failed to pay restitution in March, May and June as required by the courts. She also had contact at least five times with a convicted felon she'd been ordered to stay away from.

Court documents show Lunsford met the man at a halfway house after her release from prison. She'd served eight months for welfare fraud and is now pregnant with his child. It's her eighth.

The Exponent-Telegram first reported the arrest.

Three-year-old Aliayah Lunsford vanished in September 2011.
