Alleged Wyoming Co. drug dealer indicted

HUNTINGTON (WVVA) - A Wyoming County man who was arrested after police found drugs and a cache of firearms at his residence has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Delbert Lester, 55, of McGraws, was indicted Tuesday on 10 counts in connection with prescription painkiller distribution firearm possession offenses.

Authorities say Lester allegedly sold oxycodone on eight separate occasions from Jan. 1, 2011 to May 4, 2013.

The indictment further alleges that Lester possessed oxycodone with the intent to distribute on May 9.

Lester also allegedly possessed two loaded .22 caliber pistols on May 9.

Lester faces up to 20 years in prison on each drug charge and up to five years on the firearm charge.

Officers seized 400 pills, 70 weapons and $10,000 in cash during a search of Lester's residence on May 9.

A week later, the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department announced that they had discovered an additional $570,000 in cash and 30 more firearms in a safe taken from Lester's residence.
