MOUNT HOPE, W.Va. (AP) -- The Boy Scouts of America held a meeting to tell Fayette County residents what to expect from next month's 2013 National Scout Jamboree.

The Register-Herald of Beckley reports that about three dozen people attended Thursday's meeting in Mount Hope. Another meeting is set for June 27.

More than 35,000 Scouts are expected to attend the jamboree July 15-24 at the Summit Bechtel Family Reserve in Fayette County.

Transportation Management Services has been contracted to manage traffic. Tom Rickheim of TMS compares it to putting on a "miniature Olympics." An estimated 225 buses and 6,000 cars will be parked at a lot in Bradley.

Officials say restaurants and hotels can expect some increase in business from thousands of visitors, exhibitors and sponsors.
