    MONTCALM, W.Va. (AP) -- A barn demolition project in Mercer County has uncovered a 19th century log school. Brian Pigg discovered the hand-hewn logs at his barn's core while removing siding. The barn is located on Browning Lambert Mountain in the Montcalm area. Retired Montcalm High School history teacher Jack Johnson tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraphthat the log structure was once known as the Mullins School. PRINCETON (WVVA) - State Police have arrested four convicted sex offenders wanted in Mercer County for failure to provide updated information.

On Monday, Sgt. M.A. Smith and Corp. J.C. Long apprehended Roge Stone, Steven Levister and Ricky Compton. Fredrick Beggs was picked up on Wednesday morning.

Long says a fifth convicted offender, Jason Williams, is still at large.

On an unrelated case, Long says warrants have also been obtained for the arrest of Melanie Lambert for failure to register is a convicted child abuser in Mercer County.

According to previous WVVA reports, Lambert was arrested in early 2010 on charges connected to the abuse of her son who was four years old at the time.
