    MERCER CO. (WVVA) - Dustie Beller was on trial for running over a woman with her car all for chainsaw. While she was found not guilty of attempted murder, the jury did find her guilty of petty larceny, conspiracy, failure to stop and render aid, and malicious wounding. GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVVA)-- Some Greenbrier County municipalities held elections on Tuesday, June 11.

WVVA is compiling a list of the results as follows:

  

Lewisburg

The Citizens Party ran unopposed in the city council. Council members are incumbents Josh Baldwin and Mark Etten, as well as newcomer Heather Blake. Shannon Beatty also won as the incumbent recorder.

 

White Sulphur Springs

Incumbent Mayor Thomas Taylor, who had gone through a legal battle during his two-year term to retain a seat temporarily lost after allegations of improper conduct, lost Tuesday evening to board member Lloyd Haynes. Read more

Also on the ballot, an excess levy that Mayor Copenhaver said would go toward street repairs and maintenance, as well as other related expenses. This levy has been in place for a number of years, and the town sought its renewal.

Mayor Copenhaver said Wednesday that this levy passed by "an overwhelming majority."

NOTE: The city of White Sulphur Springs issued a retraction Wednesday morning, changing the vote total for Lynn Swann from 323 to 260 due to an error in the calculation of Precinct 72. The retraction states Swann was initially listed as having received 170 votes in that precinct, when the correct number was 107.
