"Brady's Powers" event to raise money for local family

FAIRLEA, W. Va (PRESS RELEASE)-- A local 13-year-old was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer on March 6, 2013.

Since that time Brady Mickey, son of Robert "Mick" and Peri Hanna Mickey, has been receiving intensive chemotherapy every ten days at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Their friends say Brady and his family need the support of their community in his fight against cancer.

Friends and family have rallied together to organize a benefit that will assist with Brady's medical expenses.

"Powers for Brady" will be held at the WVSOM Roland P. Sharp Alumni & Conference Center on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 6-8PM. The event will feature a performance by The Possum Holler Glee Club with food compliments of the Chefs of The Greenbrier Sporting Club, a cash bar and silent auction. Cost of admission is $15.00. Donations may also be made online at www.youcaring.com/bradyspowers.

He also has a Facebook page: www.facebook.com/bradyspowers.

Sponsors include Possum Holler Glee Club, Gillespie's Flowers at The Greenbrier, Postnet of Lewisburg and Rob Vass of REVIII. Donations for the Silent Auction have already been given by The Shirley Runyon Family, Dr. Connie Anderson & Michael Christie and S.J. Neathawk, along with other donors.
