1 killed in Greenbrier County crash

GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVVA) - A man is dead following a two-car collision on Route 92 in Greenbrier County Thursday morning.

Chief Deputy Sloan with the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department says Todd Rider, 29, of White Sulphur Springs was killed when the sedan he was driving was struck head-on by a pickup truck that had crossed the center line.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m., about 12 miles from White Sulphur Springs.

Two other occupants in the sedan, 24-year-old William Van Buren of White Sulphur Springs and Michael Watkins, were also injured. At least one was airlifted to a Charleston hospital.

The driver of the truck, 29-year-old Joshua Bostic of White Sulphur Springs, was not injured.

Sloan said there's no indication that alcohol played a factor in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
