2 arrested on drug trafficking charges in Fayette Co.

SCARBRO (WVVA) - Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Fayette County after undercover officers purchase pills from a home in Scarbro.

After making controlled purchases of prescription medication from the residence on Cardinal Lane in Scarbro early Thursday, officers with the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force returned to the residence that evening with a search warrant.

A search of the residence yielded the seizure of several prescription pills, including Roxycodone and Xanax, as well as several thousand dollars in cash.

Arrested at the scene were Kenna Sue Bass, 36, of Robson and Andre Lamarian Riley, 51, of Detroit, Michigan.

Bass is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Riley is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a felony and transportation of controlled substances into the state.

Both were being held at Southern Regional jail on $120,000 bond each.

The task force was assisted in the arrests by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and West Virginia State Police.

The case remains under investigation.
