NEMOURS (WVVA) - A Mercer County mother was able to rescue her 5-year-old daughter from her burning bedroom Monday morning, but their home was completely destroyed.

The fire began at the home of Angela Solis on Dupont Street near Nemours around 3 a.m.

The fire apparently started when an electric heater caught a mattress in the bedroom of Angela's daughter, Delilah, on fire.

Angela was able to safely escape the blaze with Delilah.

The Tazewell County Fire Dept. and Bluewell Vol. Fire Dept. responded.

The family, which includes Angela's older daughter Luisa, lost everything in the blaze. They are currently staying with relatives until they are able to find a new home.

If you have clothing you would like to donate, Delilah wears a youth 10-12 size pants, medium youth shirts size 2 shoe.

Luisa wears a size 16 pants, 1-2xl shirts, and a size 9 shoe.

For more information on how to help, contact Angela Solis at 304-308-7691.
