Sobriety checkpoint will be conducted in Shady Springs

SHADY SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVVA)- West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday May 10th.

The Checkpoint will be along U.S. Route 19 in the Shady Springs area of Raleigh County. It will begin at 8PM Friday and extend until 2AM Saturday.

The purpose of this checkpoint is to prevent impaired drivers and educate the public about the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The public is asked to assist law enforcement in this prevention of drunk driving by reporting impaired drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
