Walk to help spread awareness about domestic violence

LEWISBURG, W. Va (PRESS RELEASE)--  Join the Family Refuge Center for its third annual Walk Against Domestic and Sexual Violence on Saturday, May 11, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

This year, the event will be held at the carnival midway of the State Fairgrounds of West Virginia in Fairlea.

The cost to walk is just $5; for those who would also like an event T-shirt, the cost is $20. Participants can walk any distance they like.

The walk will feature a disc jockey, several children's events, and numerous local vendors and independent consultants.

Many delicious food items will be available for sale, including barbecue sandwiches from When Pigs Fly and State Fair-favorite, Cinn-Sational Cinnamon Rolls. All vendors will be supporting the Family Refuge Center with a percentage of their proceeds.

Pre-registration is available to individuals and groups who would like to wear their T-shirts during the event and pick up the day of the event.
