Cheese sandwiches at W.Va. schools prompts apology

PHILIPPI, W.Va. (AP) -- Barbour County's schools superintendent has apologized for a mixup that led to students at some schools receiving a cheese sandwich for lunch.

Joe Super told media outlets Monday he will ensure that last week's incident never happens again.

Some students complained after receiving a sandwich with cheese and no lunch meat Thursday at Philip Barbour High School, Philippi Middle School and Philippi Elementary School.

Super says any students that received the sandwich will be credited for their meal.
