West Virginia Children participate in Lemonade Day

BLUEFIELD, W.Va (WVVA) -- This year nearly 2,000 West Virginia children will participate in a free program that teaches them how to run and operate their own business.

The kids are doing it the old fashion way by building their own lemonade stands.

Students from Bluefield Intermediate set up shop Saturday in Bluefield in front of Sam's Club. They were raising money for their school and St. Jude's Hospital.

Two other Mercer County schools, Bluewell and Lashmeet-Matoaka, will join at least 13 other West Virginia schools in the pilot project.
